- These Fender Custom Shop Fat 50s are a great way to get that vintage 1950s single-coil sound. This set of three pickups uses the highest quality materials. The Alnico 5 magnets will help you to hit those bass notes. Formvar magnet wire is used in winding them. The middle pickup is reverse-wound to limit humming noises. These Fat 50s have been designed to look authentic, too, in aged white. They are great for blues and rock guitarists.
